Kathy is a detail-oriented Data Scientist with over 7 years of experience at Viet Tan, where she's been instrumental in driving impactful change. Combining her robust background in mathematics, education, and people management with expertise in statistical modeling and predictive analytics, Kathy specializes in deriving actionable insights from complex data patterns. With a Master's degree in Statistics and proficiency in R programming, Kathy tackles large-scale social and political challenges head-on.

 

Beyond her data science prowess, Kathy brings a wealth of storytelling experience to the table. As an investigative podcast reporter with Loa.fm, she interviewed notable rights advocates like Joshua Wong and crafted compelling narratives, including a series on Vietnam's "Modern" refugees. Kathy's interdisciplinary education, with an emphasis on China studies within her Asian Studies background, honed her critical thinking skills, empowering her to bridge the gap between data and impactful storytelling.
